Electronic Fuel Controller E F C Consist following TERMINALS & CONTROL POTS. Please follow the instruction, carefully for optimum & smooth economic performance of engine.
Terminals
- BATTERY: Provide battery supply within 14VDC to 36VDC with correct polarity.
- ACTUATOR: Connect wire leads of actuator unit of fuel system to the terminals.
- MPU: Connect wire leads of MAGNETIC PIK-UP UNIT (MPU) to the terminals.
- RUN / IDLE: Connect wire leads of toggle switch to terminals to perform the operation.
- Open of terminals by switch: Run speed operation.
- Close of terminals by switch: Idle speed operation.
Important: IDLE to RUN and RUN to IDLE Operation is TIME DELAY and takes time, of few seconds, to achieve the, set speed (Run or Idle). Please allow time of few seconds, to the achieve new set speed, after rotating RUN-SPEED and IDLE SPEED pots.
Indication: -
POWER: Indication glows-up when battery supply is proper.
MPU: Indication glows-up when positive signals from MPU are received while engine starts to rotate.
Pots: -
TIME: It is one turn pot. It decides the time constant, to achieve the IDLE/RUN speed, after starting of engine. Clock-wise rotation increases the time, to achieve the set speed.
RUN SPEED: It is 20 turns pot. It decides the run speed of engine to be maintained at load condition.Clock-wise rotation increases the parameter.
IDLE SPEED: It is 20 turns pot. It decides the ideal speed of engine to be maintained at no load condition.Clock-wise rotation increases the parameter.
I POT: It decides the speed recovery time proportionality of engine, to the set speed Higher value than required leads to oscillation of engine at set speed.
D POT: It decides the value of signals required at the time of instantaneous loading of engine. Higher value than required, leads to knocking & smoke-full running of engine.
P POT: It decides the proportionality of signals, against change of engine speed. Higher value than required, leads to hunting of engine. Set the pot, just lower than engine starts hunting.
Important
- Connect battery leads carefully to the terminals at correct polarity. Controller will not work with reverse polarity of supply.
- Short circuit of actuator/actuator leads/terminals may damage the controller.
- Always set Run-Speed pot to the lower value, before starting of engine to prevent over-speed.
- Avoid face contact of controller to engine part, to prevent over-heating & vibration.
- It is advisable to start the engine in Idle-Speed mode, to prevent over speed.
- If engine is not getting start after long starter operation, decrease TIME pot.
